Overview:
We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive business development. This role involves field sales activities within a designated geographical area, targeting both prospective and existing customers. The primary goal is to achieve sales growth across various sectors, including Fuel, Lubricants, Construction, Industrial, Petrochemical, and Special Events. The role also involves developing and implementing strategies to scale daily operations and expand the customer base.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Participate in planning sessions with senior management to implement process improvements in the assigned area.
Sales Strategy: Develop strategies to target existing and potential accounts.
Lead Generation: Create a lead generation plan for target markets.
Customer Engagement: Schedule discovery calls and sales presentations with potential customers.
Sales Presentations: Deliver effective sales presentations tailored to the unique needs of each customer.
Sales Goals: Achieve sales goals and KPIs as set by the Business Development Manager.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with various departments to ensure customer requests are handled promptly and appropriately.
Customer Liaison: Act as a liaison between customers, sales, field operations, and office personnel to resolve inquiries and issues.
Market Analysis: Analyze competitor activities in the region and assess opportunities for business development, including preparing activity and status reports.
Networking: Attend relevant industry events and conferences to build business relationships.
Lead Follow-Up: Follow up on sales leads from other representatives and enter customer data into CRM promptly.
Market Understanding: Understand the target market and identify quality prospects.
Regional Travel: Travel throughout the target region to present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
Account Growth: Drive organic growth within existing accounts by introducing new products and services.
Sales Materials: Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge.
Payment Collection: Partner with clients regarding payment collection.
Client Visits: Visit clients and prospects to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
Problem Solving: Partner with clients to identify challenges and present solutions.
Qualifications:
Must be able to travel.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
4 years industry relevant experience
Sales CRM knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
